You Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

“Even on my bad days, I am still fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Zoey Dunegan

Key Scripture: Psalm 139:14
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." (NIV)

Reflection:

I love playing soccer! It’s my favorite sport, and I feel so good when I’m on the field. I’m a pretty good player, and I’ve worked hard to get better. But sometimes, I don’t feel like playing my best. Maybe I’m in a bad mood or I’m just having a tough day. When that happens, I don’t give my best effort, and I get upset with myself. I feel like I’m letting my team down or that I’m not good enough.

But here’s what I remember: God knows me better than anyone. He understands when I’m having a rough day, and He doesn’t get mad at me. He loves me no matter what, because He made me just the way I am. Even on my bad days, I am still fearfully and wonderfully made. My worth doesn’t depend on how well I play; it’s about who God made me to be.

When I’m feeling off, I like to take a quiet walk. It helps me relax and remember that even if I’m not feeling great, God made me special, and I don’t have to be perfect. I don’t have to be mad at myself. I can be okay with who I am, because God loves me the way I am.

Prayer:

Dear God,
Thank You for making me fearfully and wonderfully. I know that I don’t have to be perfect to be loved by You. Help me remember that even when I feel upset or don’t play my best, You still love me just as I am. Thank You for giving me a chance to play and have fun. Help me give my best out of joy, not pressure. I know You’re always with me, and I trust You.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
